Dust protection that never gets lost.

DuCSec keeps the dust caps of LC connector and SFP module together – right on the fibre cable or magnetically on the switch. Unplug, caps in, carry on.

Where do the caps go?

Anyone who patches knows this

While plugging in, dust caps end up in a trouser pocket, on the rack floor or in the flight case. At teardown they are missing – and open LC connectors and SFP ports collect dust that later costs you attenuation and troubleshooting time.

DuCSec keeps them where they are needed

The LC connector's cap goes into the SFP module's cap, and both go into the DuCSec. It sits on the cable or magnetically on the switch, right above the matching port. When you unplug, the dust protection is at hand.

How it works

Three steps and the dust caps are stored.

  1. The LC connector's dust cap is pushed into the SFP module's dust cap

    Join the caps

    Pull the cap off the LC connector (white) and push it into the SFP module's cap (black).

  2. The joined dust caps are slid into the DuCSec

    Slide into the DuCSec

    Slide both caps together into the opening of the DuCSec.

  3. The DuCSec is clipped onto the fibre cable

    Attach

    Clip the DuCSec onto the fibre cable – or place the magnet version on the switch or any other metal part.

Connected and tidy

The LC connector sits in the SFP module, the dust caps wait in the DuCSec – on the cable or magnetically right above the matching port.

Assign a cold backup

A second DuCSec holds the LC connector of a spare cable. If a link fails, it is clear at once which spare cable belongs to which SFP module.
